To give equal opportunity to both sides, here are some pictures of the Frisbie side with our boys. They are so proud of their two new additons to the family. You can see the pride radiating from their eyes. We love them and are so thankful for all the help the have given us!

One Month In

Well our baby boys are one month old today. What a fast month it has been! After their doctor appointment today, Oliver weighted in at 8 lbs 15 oz and Emerson 8 lbs 14oz. That is a gain of over 2 lbs in a month. They also grew from 19 1/2 inches to 22 inches. Needless to say my small 6 lb babies are no more. They are beginning to chub out and look more like babies. an exciting event occurred sometime last night, Oliver umbilical cord FINALLY fell off. Emerson''s has been off for two weeks.
As for sleep on mommy and daddy's part, it comes in spurts. Our boys sleep well from about 8-8:30pm until about 3am (They wake up two times in between for feedings but go down easy). After 3 am, the fun starts. The boys get off their slightly staggered schedule and trade off eating until about 6-7am. So mom is up and down from about 3am on.
The boys and I ventured to Eli's school today. Eli proudly showed off his brothers, then wanted me to play with him, leaving his brothers in the caring hands of his teachers. Miss Elizabeth, asked Eli if she could take Oliver home with her and Eli quickly and firmly told her no! He is a very protective big brother.
Overall it has been a great month, a learning and sleep deprived month, but it has been fun. I love being a mother of three boys.

Our new additions

On November 12th at 3:14 and 3:20am, our family welcomed two new boys into our lives. Oliver, the older brother, and Emerson arrived weighting 6 lbs 13oz each and were 19 1/2 inches long. Our doctors, OB nurses, and us were surprised to hear that they weighted exactly the same and were the same length.


Big Brother Eli was very excited that his brothers finally "came out". He clapped his hands and jumped up and down when he heard the news. Upon arriving at the hospital he promptly wanted to hold each of them. he wanted to bring them home that day. luckily for mommy and babies they were able to stay in the hospital a few days more.Upon arriving home, we all tried to settle into our new life as a family of five! Thank goodness for Utah Grandma, she came and was a big help to us all. She took night shifts, cleaned, changed diapers, held Emerson and Oliver and played with Eli. I think she went home tired!

Now it is just the five of us, adjusting to a houseful of boys. We have our good times and our bad. But life with twins is an adventure. Eli is a BIG helper. He loves to hold his brothers and sing to them. He also likes to help out with bath time. Oliver and Emerson are finally out of the honeymoon stage, where they sleep all the time ( a bittersweet moment). They both enjoy tummy time, Oliver has already shown that he can roll over from tummy to back (We have it on video). Their personalities are already shining through. Oliver is laid back most of the time, where as Emerson is more spirited. We love our family and hope to share lots of experiences in the future!
