Vegging Out

Sorry about the multiple posts, but I just found these pictures and thought I would share.

This one is of the boys vegging out watching brother play computer.

I do not allow my children to veg in front of the TV, but this picture was too precious not to post. This is Emerson by the way.
Believe it or not Oliver was smiling the second before I took this.

Mischief While Nature Calls

Yesterday I had just finished feeding the boys breakfast when the call of nature came on rather quickly and urgently, so off to the bathroom I thinking the boys would be ok for a minute or two. Well when I got out I heard giggling and thump, thump, thump. Which together is not a good combination. So I went to check it out, and what I found was that the twins, very quickly might I add had taken our food storage from our pantry and were throwing it down the stairs, Fun right? Well it gets better, one of the items that took a journey down the bumpy ride was a box of spaghetti. I took the boys downs stairs started taking food up back up stairs, as I was doing this the boys proceeded to open up the never before opened box of spaghetti and spread the contents over the bottom of the stairs. Let me just say I see where the term "double trouble" comes from, because they definately fit the bill. I am not looking forward to the 2s.

My sweet innocent boys at work.

I'm Not Sharing

Eli is a really good big brother, who for the most part shares really well with his little brothers, but yesterday I think he wanted to keep the treat mommy made for him to himself, because this is where I found him.

He is hiding behind our couch were he knows his brother can't get his apples with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff.

Instacare

Last Saturday, after a fun afternoon with the family to celebrate Ben's graduation, I was cleaning up and loading the dishwasher. Now I usually wait until the boys are in bed before I do this but I just wanted to get the load going, so the twins were toddling around and playing. Well good little Emerson decided he wanted to help mommy out with the silverware. After I told him no and moved him away, he came back. This time though he fell into the dishwasher and his hand connected squarely with a spatula with a serrated edge. I promptly saw blood and found that he had a nice size gash between is thumb and pointer finger. Being weak around blood I hollered for my mom (she is use to it since she is studying to be a nurse). She checked it and thought we should take him in to get it looked at. So we quickly bundled his hand up and left Oliver and Eli in the care of Grandpa (the perks of living with my parents), and off we went to instacare. After we got in the doctor looked at it and decided that gluing it back together was a good course of action, and so he did. He told us that the glue should stay in place for about 5-7 days and would fall off after it healed. They wrapped Emerson's hand up and sent us on our way. The next morning I woke up to Emerson's hand being bare of it's wrap and the glue not holding the wound closed. So now, with the $30 visit from the previous day wasted, we wrapped his had up the best we could, and let it heal the old fashion way. Now a week later he finally started to keep the bandages on, and the wound has finally healed and all is well again.
