My Grandpa Gerber passed away about a year ago, and Eli has been fascinated with death and resurrection ever since. He continually asks when Grandpa is going to come back from Heaven. When we moved in with my parents, my mom gave Eli Grandpa Gerber's old watch, and Eli likes to wear it around on occasion. So the other night Eli was suppose to be in bed, when he came out upset about something. He went to Grandma and told her that the watch broke and showed it to her. (The band was broken). He asked Grandma if she could fix it. The he told her very seriously "Grandpa Gerber is not going to be very happy about this when he comes back from Heaven."
Mom and I had a good little giggle over this statement.

That is really sweet! The same thing happened with Joe when his grandpa passed away (Charles's dad). Lots of questions and even after 2 years, he'll randomly mention it. I think its good for them to talk about it.
