Superman power

Last night we were having Family Home Evening with our neighbors. We were discussing testimonies and what type of things we have testimonies about. So I was asking the kids (Eli and Stella) about what type of power their dad's had that we could have a testimony about. Eli proudly and loudly answered with a jump, "SUPERMAN POWER!!!!" We all had a good chuckle after that.
In other news, Oliver has sprouted his two bottom teeth this last week and Emerson is not far behind with one and the second one promising arrival any day. They are really enjoying rice cereal now, and are finally sleeping at night again!!! Almost 9 hours straight!! Hopefully this time it sticks!!
The weather is finally nice, so we enjoying short trips outdoors. Eli is trying to get rid of all his pent up energy, so that is nice. I look forward to a spring/summer filled with nice weather, long walks and outdoor play dates.

Pool Party and Attacking the Dog

Eli and the other neighbors after being boxed inside all winter, decided to have a pretend pool party. And what better place to do this than the bath tub, and of course what pool party isn't complete without bubbles, a half a bottle of bubbles. It was fun for the kids. Eli has recently informed us that"he likes girls" and only girls, thus the pool party with two girls. I am going to have watch this boy. He is going to be a lady's man.

Oliver and Emerson really enjoy these dogs. Here are a few pictures of Emerson attacking his doggie. It was pretty funny. He rolled across the entire floor with his dog.

Emerson

Several quick stories. I recently have become acquainted with a deaf woman named Stefanie. We pick her up on Tuesdays and take her to an elementary school where she teaches sign language to some kids. Anyway, over that past three weeks I have been trying to explain to Eli that she can't hear what he is saying, despite him yelling it at the top of his lungs sometimes. This has been a good opportunity for me and for him, because I have been able to reintroduce myself to sign language and the deaf community, and Eli has been able to pick up some new signs. Anyway, yesterday we were heading out to pick up Stephanie, and before we leave in the car we always say a prayer. Eli usually offers it. Now here comes the sweet part, after asking that we would be careful, Eli blessed Stephanie that her ears would get better. I thought how sweet and considerate of him. Although he doesn't fully understand that she can't hear, he knows that he can ask Heavenly Father to help her "ears get better". It make me smile.
The other sweet moment happened a couple of minutes ago. I was reading the twins a book before I laid them down for a nap, so I had both on my lap. As I was reading I looked down, and they were holding hands. I wish I could of gotten a picture of it. It was so sweet, both intent on the pictures in the book, and holding hands. I love moments like that. Anyway here are some pictures.

Tummy time, Rolling and more

Well the snow is finally starting to melt in the Great state of Wisconsin. I can actually see the dead grass underneath it all. The other day I was able to open my windows and let some new air into the apartment. But enough about that. On to the good stuff. Let me see, what is new??? Emerson is on the move. Well, rolling over at least. When I lay him down on his back he immediately rolls to his side and then his tummy. The funny thing is that he doesn't really care for tummy time, so he gets there and then starts to fuss. I tried to get a video of it, put have been unsuccessful. I will add one later. Oliver loves to "talk" and loved tummy time. He shows no real desire to roll over yet which is nice, I don't think I can handle two boys on the go. Anyway here are some recent pictures for you to enjoy.

Museum and Brothers

Thought I would post some recent photos. We went to Chicago last weekend to the Field Museum. Eli has been infatuated with "Night at the Museum" so seeing "Sue" the T-Rex skeleton there was pretty awesome. Although other parts of the museum freaked him out, especially the Mummies. But it was fun and the deep dish pizza afterward was yummy!









Below are new pictures of the boys. The first one is a nightly ritual, the boys scream at bed time, most of it is sympathy crying, one will start and the other starts up. Fun times.
The next one is too cute. It shows the best of brotherly love. They have finally realized that each other exists and are talking to each other. It is priceless

Stella, Don't Leave Stella

Sorry to break all the young girls hearts out there, but Eli's heart has been taken by our 5 year old neighbor, named Stella. Eli and her have become playmates. She will come over to play and stay for a little while, then Eli and her will have a small dispute and she will leave. This leaves Eli in despair. wailing at the door, "Stella don't leave, I need Stella, I love her". It breaks a mom's heart to see him torn up like that. Oh it is going to be a long road ahead. the first picture was taken after Stella just left.
In lighter news, well maybe not lighter. We Frisbies are enjoying (sarcastic) Wisconsin's worse winter in like 30 years. It snows constantly and if it isn't snowing it is freezing cold. We are learning how to keep warm and find things to do indoors. Like make sugar cookies. We made them with, let you guess, (our neighbor Stella). They had a good time, and I learned how to step back and let the kids bake.

My Advanced Children

Can I just say that children are so smart and they figure things out way too quickly. Last night I was woken up from my deep slumber at 2 a.m.. Now this is not at all unusual, having babies and all, but this time was special. I went into the twins room to see who was fussing and it was Emerson. Now, it wasn't that he woke up that surprised me, it was the way that I found him. My boys sleep on their tummies (so sue me for wanting to get some sleep and that was the only way they would sleep well). But Emerson was not on his tummy anymore. He had rolled over to his back, and successfully unwrapped his swaddle, thus woken himself up completely. Thankfully after the belly was filled he slipped back into a deep slumber until 7:15a.m. Now this has happened several time recently (Emerson rolling over from belly to back). I can only imagine how quickly they are going to learn that they can move, and when that happens world beware. (Actually, it will be Brittany and Brittany's stuff beware.) Oh FYI, Oliver rolled over today too, during tummy time. They are too young for that.
Weight and height update. My little babies aren't so little anymore. They both wight about 14lbs and are 23 1/2 inches tall. They have doubled their birth weight and they aren't even three months old.
